Rev: Imperial double-headed eagle with the arms of Austria at the centre, surrounded by four quarters representing Hungary, Bohemia, Burgundy and Burgau (Günzburg), ARCHID·AVST·DUX· BURG·CO·TYR·1780·X, edge inscribed IUSTITIA ET CLEMENTIA. 27.71 grams, 39 mm.

World Coins - Brazil - 1835 - 'Piratini' Fantasy Counterstamped 960 Reis Dated 1835 A.D.

Type III stamp. A fantasy issued in the early 20th century in allusion to the proclaimed Riograndense Republic, a breakaway state that declared its independence from Brazil in September of 1836. This short-lived state was pejoratively nicknamed by its opponents (the Brazilian Imperialists) as the Piratini Republic after the small Piratini village, so as to downplay the size of the revolution. 16.31 grams, 35 mm.
