    This silver Islamic coin may be a contemporary copy or fake Abbasid dirham produced by a local workshop imitating a coin minted at Madinat al-Salaam. Fakes manufactured during the ancient Abbasid timeline, although inexpensive at auction, present a fascinating area to research for those collecting on a budget.
