Western Asiatic Black Stone Bowl with Bulls

1ST MILLENNIUM B.C. OR LATER

4 1/8 in. (344 grams, 10.6 cm).

Hemispherical in profile with low ring foot, segmented sidewall with frieze of standing beasts, hatched panels; remains of lateral handle, undulating band below the rim, short C-section spout; chipped and partly absent. [No Reserve]

This lot has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database, and is accompanied by an illustrated lot declaration signed by the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr Raffaele D'Amato.
