Very Large South East Asian Painted Pottery Jug
NEOLITHIC PERIOD, 4TH-2ND MILLENNIUM B.C.
16 in. (8.35 kg, 41 cm).
Globular body with tubular neck, angled spout and small loop handle to the shoulder; bands of painted geometric decoration to neck and shoulder. [No Reserve]

From a collection acquired on the UK art market from various auction houses and collections mostly before 2000.
From an important Cambridgeshire estate; thence by descent.
Accompanied by a copy of a thermoluminescence analysis report from Oxford Authentication with sample no.C199f28 dated 2 February 1999.
