Comprising a wide body with a leaf to each corner, grapevine to both larger faces; narrow, facetted neck; probably glass. [No Reserve]

From the family collection of a Hampstead gentleman; formerly acquired in the 1980s.

Accompanied by an illustrated record card by Jim Halliday dated 11 October 1999.     Hollow-formed as a stylised lion standing erect with mane of overlapping lozenges, separately cast rider figure sitting astride on a rectangular saddlecloth with bird of prey on the right hand, wearing a pillbox hat with open top forming the filler vent; tubular spout in the lion's mouth; eastern Mediterranean workmanship. 4.51 kg, 24 cm wide
