Veiled and wreathed head of Demeter to right / ΒΥZΑN ΚΑΛΧΑ, Poseidon seated to right on rock, holding aphlaston with right hand and transverse trident with left; ΠΑΡ monogram in inner right field. Schönert-Geiss 1271-1275; HGC 3.2, 1428. Good Very Fine.(9.66gr, 24mm, 12h.).

Lydo-Milesian standard. Sardes mint or subsidiary mint. Type IV (middle) B. Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance to right, holding dagger in right hand, bow in left; countermark 196 and 'lvv' in Lydian within rectangular incuse / Oblong incuse punch; uncertain countermarks. Carradice Type IV, Group B; BMC Arabia pl. XXVI, 17. 5.56gr, 15mm.
Near Very Fine. Unpublished and apparently unique countermarked inscription in Lydian, bearing possibly a personal name.
