Sino-Tibetan Gilt Bronze Buddha Statue
20TH CENTURY A.D.
10 3/4 in. (2.35 kg, 27 cm).
Seated cross-legged in virasana on a lotus flower dais, hands in the Dharmachakra Mudra, wearing a samghati adorned with floral hem, his face with with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, aquiline nose, with gentle smile, elongated earlobes, the tiered hair surmounted by a flame and with an elaborate diadem; collar, diadem armbands all with inset turquoise and other studs.
