Silver Bowl Fragment with Neo Classical Scene
CIRCA 18TH-19TH CENTURY A.D.
6 3/4 in. (127 grams, 17 cm).
Comprising a low stepped rim with a decorative low-relief frieze of leaves, grapes and scroll motifs; a border of low-relief profile busts within pelletted borders below; a seated male with a draped garment over his legs to the centre, bare-chested with muscular torso, holding a curved object with both hands, possibly a stylised cornu. [No Reserve]
