AYT K M A C ΑΛЄΞΑΝΔΡΟϹ C, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right, seen from rear / MHT KOΛ ЄΔЄϹCHΝΩN, the Tyche of Edessa seated to left on rock, holding ears of grain; at her feet, lighted altar; below, river god swimming to left. RPC VI 7852 (temporary) var. (obverse legend). Good Very Fine.(6.36gr, 20mm, 12h.).

ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ Λ ΑΥΡ ΟΥΗΡΟϹ, laureate and cuirassed bust to right / ϹЄ ΑΒΙΛΗΝധΝ Ι Α Α Γ [ΚΟΙ ϹΥ ...], Tyche of Abila, holding sceptre and Nike, standing to right with foot on river-god Heiromax; all within central arch of distyle temple façade; Nike standing on low basis on either side of Tyche. The Hemhem crown was an ornate triple Atef with corkscrew sheep horns and usually two uraeus. The Egyptian word "Hemhem" means "to shout," "cry out," possibly indicating that the Hemhem crown represented a battle horn. -
