Seleukid Empire, Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos) AR Tetradrachm. Circa 121-113 BC. Ake-Ptolemais mint.
Diademed head to right; within fillet border / ΒAΣΙΛEΩΣ ΑNTIOXOY EΠI-ΦANOYΣ, Zeus Ouranios, draped, standing facing, head to left, holding star in outstretched hand and long sceptre; crescent above, monogram of ΔYΡ in left field; all within laurel wreath border. SC 2336.2; HGC 9, 1197h. Near Extremely Fine. Nice toning with golden iridescence in fields.(16.24gr, 29mm, 12h.).
