Scandinavian Viking Sacrificed Bronze Pendant Crosses on Loop
9TH-10TH CENTURY A.D.
1 3/8 in. (9.46 grams, pendant: 36 mm wide).
Wire loop with coiled ends attached to two cruciform pendants; each with Corpus Christi beneath a cross pommy, one with raised border, the other low-relief. [No Reserve]
Provenance
From the private collection of a London gentleman, from his grandfather's collection formed before the early 1970s.
This lot is accompanied by an illustrated lot declaration signed by the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr Raffaele D'Amato.
