1 1/4 - 1 3/4 in. (50 grams total, 32-45 mm).
Pierced for rivets for mounting; mostly Thomas's Class A (Types 1,2,5) Class B (Type 2) with interlace or geometric schemes; with an appliqué mount with facing mask and hood ending in bird-heads. [10, No Reserve]

Patrices were used to create thin sheet-silver or gold appliqués which were used to decorate wooden items, ritual items, clothing, horse-harness and other items. -
