Russian Orthodox Gilt Icon with Saint Seraphim

Saint Seraphim of Sarov (1759-1833) was a renowned Russian monk and mystic whose ascetic practice and counselling in cases of conscience awarded him the title Starets (spiritual teacher).

Found whilst searching with a metal detector on the Down End, Ise of Wight, Hampshire, UK, on 24th September 2024.
