Romano-British Votive Terracotta Mask of Silenus
3RD CENTURY A.D.
4 3/4 in. (101 grams, 12.2 cm).
A teardrop-shaped plaque bearing the head of a mature man in raised relief, his open mouth framed by long moustache and long, dressed beard, sunken small eyes and a prominent nose, wearing a striated headdress extending to the shoulders.
