Small amulets of hands were commonly included in bracelets. They served not only as decorative pieces but also as symbols of protection for the limbs and extremities of their wearers. Some believed these amulets could even confer abilities such as increased dexterity or heightened creativity.

His name was Hellenized in the Ptolemaic era and adopted by the Romans, indicating the mythological figure of Horus the child; he was the son of Isis and Osiris, and adored especially in Alexandria. -

The small size of this bronze container suggests that it was intended as a toilette object, or as an oil vessel for athletes, generally associated with a strigil. Its could also have been used as a balsamarium.
