Comprising: a lion-headed nude male figure in running position; two hand pendants making the fica gesture; a wolf-head(?) shaped mount. [4]

Roman Fresco Wall Plaster Collection

Fragments of wall plaster with rendered surface painted with mainly red, pale blue and white detailing; some with impression of timber laths to the reverse. 861 grams total, 8.1-12 cm
Acquired in the 19th century. Ex Jeger collection, Switzerland. UK gallery, early 2000s.
These small fragments, for analogies with the fragments of Pompeii, seem to belong to the second style of Roman painting, red panels representing highlight and shadow, decorated with vegetal interlaces. Some panels were probably framed by a red grenade fillet. A fragment shows alternate blue and red colour over a cream background, maybe pertinent to a socle. -

Comprising a D-shaped hoop with angled shoulders, raised oval bezel set with a carnelian intaglio bearing the image of a standing stork on a baseline. 3.19 grams, 19.79 mm overall, 18.06 x 11.63 mm internal diameter (approximate size British E, USA 2 1/4, Europe 2.41, Japan 2)

Roman Bronze Ring with Isis and Serapis Gemstone

With shank widening to the fluted shoulders; flat bezel set with a later oval carnelian intaglio engraved with the bust of Isis with corkscrew locks falling to shoulders, sun-disc in horns headdress and carrying a lotus flower sceptre; Serapis facing with beard and kalathos headdress. 14.46 grams, 30.01 mm overall, 21.80 x 18.99 mm internal diameter (approximate size British U, USA 10, Europe 22.52, Japan 21)
