Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt. Ptolemy I Soter, as satrap, AR Tetradrachm. Struck circa 320/19-315 BC. Arados mint. In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon.

Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied beneath chin / [Α]ΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus seated to left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, his feet resting on low foot rest, holding long sceptre in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing to right with closed wings; AP (civic) monogram in left field. Price 3426 (Byblos); Taylor, Reattribution 294–307. Extremely Fine.(16.40gr, 28mm, 12h.).
