Post Medieval Iron Dagger
CIRCA 17TH CENTURY A.D.
13 3/4 in. (165 grams, 35 cm).
Of curved form and with remaining rivets for attachment of the tang-scales; single-edged blade with sunburst and ring-and-dot motifs to the lower edge on one face, joined by plain bands. [No Reserve]

Modelled in a dynamic standing posture wearing floor-length robes, hands clasped in front of her breast; remains of polychrome pigmentation. 27.7 kg, 98 cm high
Acquired 1960s-1990s. Late Alison Barker collection, a retired London barrister.
The timber shows some old insect flight holes and we are advised that this piece has been recently treated with Permethrin, as a precaution.
