Post Medieval Gilt Bronze Religious Mount
18TH-19TH CENTURY A.D.
1 in. (7.05 grams, 27 mm).
Hexagonal with a central roundel, a standing nimbate saint to the centre surrounded by an inscription 'Faithful unto death' from book of Revelations: 2:8-11; pierced through the angles. [No Reserve]

Saint Anthony the Great, who lived in the 3rd-4th century A.D., was the father of Eastern Monachism. According to the tradition, Saint Charalambos was martyred in 202 A.D. He is the protector of prosperity and health. -
