17TH-18TH CENTURY A.D.

15 3/4 in. (89 grams, 40 cm).

Large enkolpion with thick wire hinges, twisted-link chain; obverse with low-relief figure in orans posture, obverse with Corpus Christi.

Acquired on the London art market in the late 1980s-1990s.
From the family collection of an East London, UK, gentleman.
