Phoenician Bronze Weight of Half Shekel. Late Bronze Age, circa 1500-1200 BC.
Truncated snake-head or teardrop weight with flat bases. Cf. Hendin, Ancient Scale and Weights, 104 (hematite; one Shekel) and 107 (2/3 Shekel). Condition as seen.(4.50gr, 17mm.).
