Norman Silver-Gilt Mount with Animals
CIRCA 12TH CENTURY A.D.
1 1/8 in. (7.37 grams, 29 mm).
Pyramidal mount with two broad openwork trapezoidal panels, each with a rampant beast in Romanesque style, and two narrow lateral panels each with a band of chevron ornament.
