Moche Painted Pottery Stirrup Jar with Crouching Figure
CIRCA 200-500 A.D.

Stirrup jar comprising a cuboid body with a crouching figure above wearing a segmented collar and a low pillbox cap; to the rear of the handle, an integrally modelled monkey.
Provenance
Franziska Gassner (1907-2005), Ingelheim am Rhein, Germany, assembled between 1945 and 1980.
