Migration Period Silver-Gilt Sword Scabbard Pyramid Mount

CIRCA 6TH CENTURY A.D.

3/4 in. (7 grams, 18 mm).

Formed with a circular base tapering to a square socket at the apes, the facetted sides fashioned as stylised petals, triangular recesses between each. [No Reserve]

Acquired 1960s-1990s.
