15TH-19TH CENTURY A.D.
1/2 - 1 in. (30.5 grams total, 13-24 mm).
Composed of rings of various styles and sizes, including an example with a decoratively twisted wire body; exteriors displaying geometric ornament; double bezels with cells for inlays; together with plain and other types. [15, No Reserve]

Knife handles can be classified according to their method of attachment into whittle and scale-tang handles. Whittle-tang handles were the most common type used in the early medieval period. Whittle tang handles (like here) were more common later and fixed by pushing the pointed end of the knife tang into the handle. -

The triple boar's head arms is associated with several members of the Swinburne (sometimes Swynbourne) family in the late 13th to early 14th century period. -
