Medieval Gold Ring with Topaz Cabochon
15TH CENTURY A.D.
1 in. (5.40 grams, 23.50 mm overall, 17.13 mm internal diameter (approximate size British N, USA 6 1/2, Europe 13.72, Japan 13)).
Comprising sculpted frond to each shoulder, rectangular stepped cell to the bezel with inset pyramidal topaz cabochon.
Provenance
Acquired on the European art market in the 1990s.
UK collection of a European gentleman.
This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by a search certificate number no.12297-219626.

The design lacks the clasped hands which are a usual feature of the claddagh rings. -
