Medieval Gold Ring with Topaz Cabochon

1 in. (5.40 grams, 23.50 mm overall, 17.13 mm internal diameter (approximate size British N, USA 6 1/2, Europe 13.72, Japan 13)).
Comprising sculpted frond to each shoulder, rectangular stepped cell to the bezel with inset pyramidal topaz cabochon.
Provenance
Acquired on the European art market in the 1990s.
UK collection of a European gentleman.
