MEDIEVAL GOLD 'GOD GIVES ME THE JOY OF LOVE' STIRRUP RING
14TH CENTURY AD
3/4" (2.03 grams, 22mm overall, 18.07 mm internal diameter (approximate size British P 1/2, USA 7 3/4, Europe 16.86, Japan 16)).

A flat-section hoop with pyramidal bezel and inset supplant turquoise stone; to the outer face a legend in Lombardic script '+DEV:DOINST:IOIE:DEMAMOR: (God gives me the joy of love).

Found Hopton on Sea, Norfolk, UK, in 2009. Disclaimed under the Treasure Act, reference 2009T271, documentation included.
