Medieval Glazed Floor Tile with Three Lions
ENGLAND, 15TH CENTURY A.D.
5 1/4 x 5 1/4 in. (930 grams, 13.5 x 13.5 cm).
Decorated with three crowned lion heads with long tongues and large circular eyes, framed by the bottom half of a shield-shaped background. [No Reserve]

Accompanied by a letter from the British Museum informing that the Crown's interest in this find has been disclaimed.
The design lacks the clasped hands which are a usual feature of the claddagh rings. -
