Group of six square floor tiles in red-on-white slip; design of a quadrant with bisecting line and florid scrolls repeating to form ornate circle motifs; mounted in a sturdy wooden frame. [No Reserve]

The term 'popinjay' is an old word for 'parrot'. It is associated with the rhyme 'Popinjay, jolly May' this month being seen as the month of love. -
