Medieval Carved Stone Capital with Angels
13TH-14TH CENTURY A.D.
7 3/8 in. (2.26 kg total, 18.7 cm high).
Comprising an arcade of winged angels beneath a segmented pediment; each angel shown facing with hands pressed together, head surrounded by a flat halo with wings flanking, in a billetted vesica-shaped border, arrowheads in the lower spandrels; mounted on a custom-made stand. [No Reserve]
