Medieval Bone-Handled Iron Knife with Long Cross in Blade
CIRCA 1500 A.D.
6 7/8 in. (37 grams, 17.5 cm).
Comprising a single-edged blade with scooped tip, scale-tang grip with brass fixing pins, end-cap; punched maker's mark to blade 'cross with flared foot'.

Acquired on the UK art market before 2000.
Property of an Essex, UK, gentleman.

Exhibited at the Harwich Museum, Harwich, Essex, UK, 27th August-10th December 2025; accompanied by a copy of a photograph of the artefacts on display.
