Rome mint. Struck AD 171-172. M ANTONINVS AVG TR P XXVI, laureate head of Marcus Aurelius to right; drapery on far shoulder / IMP VI COS III, Roma, helmeted, seated to left, holding Victory in her right hand and spear in her left; shield by her side decorated with Medusa's head (?); S C across fields. RIC III, - (cf. 1033, no drapery); BMCRE - (cf. 1416, same). Very Fine - Good Very Fine. Nice olive green patina. Unpublished variant in the major references.(27.19 gr, 30mm, 1h).
