Large Gold-Coloured Metal Ring with Ancient Sapphire Bead
20TH CENTURY A.D. AND EARLIER
1 1/4 in. (21.45 grams, 33.46 mm overall, 19.15 mm internal diameter (approximate size British R, USA 8 1/2, Europe 18 3/4, Japan 18)).
Comprising a wide hoop expanding at the shoulders, raised oval bezel with notched borders and applied teardrop-shaped petals to the sides, the bezel set with a light blue cabochon fashioned from a re-used bead. [No Reserve]

From the family collection of a Hampstead gentleman; formerly acquired in the 1980s.
