Kings of Parthia, Mithradates, usurper in Mesopotamia AR Tetradrachm. Circa 15-10 BC.

Seleukeia on the Tigris, uncertain year and month. Diademed and draped bust to left, with pointed beard / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΝ ΑΡΣΑΚΟY EYEPΓETOY ΔΙΚΑΙΟY ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟYΣ ΦΙΛΕΛΛΗΝΟΣ ΑΡΤΕ, Mithradates enthroned to right, receiving palm frond from Tyche standing to left, and holding sceptre with left hand; above Tyche's arm monogram of ΠΛP above pellet; beneath throne, V/A; between Mithradates' feet, A. Cf. Sellwood 55.11-14 (no pellet). Very Fine. Graffito on obverse.(10.80gr, 26mm, 12h). [No Reserve]
