Sardeis mint. Struck circa 318-315 BC. In the name and types of Alexander III. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied beneath chin / [Α]ΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus seated to left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, his feet resting on a low foot rest, holding long sceptre in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing to right with closed wings; in left field, monogram of ΠΥ above eight-rayed star. Price 2664; ADM I Series XIX. 16.97gr, 26mm, 1h.
Very Fine. Toned, horn silver deposits.

Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance to right, holding dagger in right hand, bow in left; countermark 196 and 'lvv' in Lydian within rectangular incuse / Oblong incuse punch; uncertain countermarks. Carradice Type IV, Group B; BMC Arabia pl. XXVI, 17. 5.56gr, 15mm.
Near Very Fine. Unpublished and apparently unique countermarked inscription in Lydian, bearing possibly a personal name.
