Jacobean and Later 'Published' Bronze and Pewter Spoon Collection
17TH-EARLY 18TH CENTURY A.D.
6 3/4 - 7 1/4 in. (173 grams total, 17-18.6 cm).
Comprising: one with rectangular bowl flat handle with tulip finial; one with oval bowl and stamped motif to bowl and upper handle; one with shallow disc bowl, hexagonal-section handle, maker's mark inside the bowl. [3, No Reserve]

The Piccolomini Library adjoins the Siena Cathedral, a medieval Roman Catholic Marian church consecrated in 1215. It houses illuminated choir books and frescoes painted probably based on designs by Raphael, that tell the life story of Pope Pius II, Siena's favourite son.
