Iron Age Celtic Bronze Naked Male Figure
1ST-2ND CENTURY A.D.
3 3/8 in. (90.4 grams total, 86 mm including stand).
Modelled in the round nude male with arms bent, the left arm supporting a bundle; discoid pad to the rump, probably the point of attachment to a larger item; mounted on a custom-made display stand. [No Reserve]
Provenance
From a collection acquired on the UK art market from various auction houses and collections mostly before 2000.
From an important Cambridgeshire estate; thence by descent.
