Indian Erotic Wood Carving
MADURAI, TAMIL NADU, LATE 19TH-EARLY 20TH CENTURY A.D.
23 1/4 in. (2.73 kg, 59 cm).
Carved in the round architectural panel from a temple-chariot depicting an erotic amorous couple standing conjoined on a plinth and supporting a lotus-flower base on their heads. [No Reserve]
