Comprising three powder boxes, one with a painted landscape to the lid and two with painted floral motifs. [3, No Reserve]

In the mid 15th century a freighting junk loaded with fine Vietnamese pottery sank in an area of the South China Sea called the 'Dragon’s Embrace.' This vessel is part of the shipwreck cargo recovered off the coast of Vietnam at Hoi An. The ceramics themselves were probably made in the area of Chu Dau.

Comprising: piriform jar with low foot, blue lines forming segmented scheme and fronds; lidded jar with floral design; squat jar with rosete, bird and other ornament. 302 grams total, 4.8-10.7 cm
From the old private collection of a retired UK gentleman; his collection formed in the 1990s. Two accompanied by original numbered 'Saga . Hoi An Hoard . Visal' numbered certificates of authenticity matching two with attached identification labels, and a copy of a chronological timeline chart of Vietnam, and Japan.
