    The 2012 Queens Diamond Jubilee medal was made to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the reign of Elizabeth II; 450,000 Diamond Jubilee Medals were awarded only to members of the Armed Forces, HM Prison Service, and emergency services personnel (including Police Community Support Officers) who had completed five full years of service on 6 February 2012, holders of the Victoria Cross and George Cross and members of the Royal Household were also eligible. To be eligible to wear this medal you must have been serving in 2012 and in service 5 years prior. The award miniature medal complements the full-size official medal and is normally worn for formal dinner dress occasions.
