Great Britain. Hanover, George V AR Crown. 1910-1936.
Royal mint. Dated RY XXV and 1935. Designs by Bertram Mackennal and Percy Metcalfe. Struck to commemorate the 25 year Jubilee of King George V. Its modernistic design of St George led this coin to become known as the "Rocking Horse" crown. GEORGIVS V. DG. BRITT: OMN: REX. FD. IND: IMP:, bare head to left, B.M. in small lettering on truncation / 1930's style version of St. George and the dragon, CROWN and date above. Edge inscription: ✶ DECUS ET TUTAMEN ✶ ANNO REGNI XXV. Bull 3651; ESC 375; SCBC 4048. Very Fine.(28.13gr, 38mm, 12h.).
