Gordian III AE 18mm of Nicaea, Bithynia. AD 238-244.

[M ANT Γ]ΟΡΔΙΑΝΟC AVΓ, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust to right / N I K A [IEΩN], four legionary standards; the centre two topped with capricorns(?), the outer two, topped with crowns. Cf. RPC VII.2, 1968; cf. Rec Gen 715. Very Fine.(3.33gr, 18mm, 12h.).
