Germanic Silver Pendant and Mixed Bead Necklace
7TH CENTURY A.D. AND LATER
14 1/8 in. (54 grams, 36 cm long).
Composed of restrung blue and amber glass oblate-shaped beads, interspersed with collared silver biconical beads; the necklace featuring four pendants: two Roman silver denarii with applied suspension loops; two polished rock crystal pendants set in a decorative silver frame; a floral pendant with central red glass cabochon, irregular cells to the outer edge for glass inserts of which two are still in situ. [No Reserve]

From the family collection of a UK gentleman, by descent in the early 1970s.
