German WWI SM U-120 U-Boat Clock, Flag Sock and Flags
1918 A.D.
8 5/8 - 59 7/8 in. (3.32 kg total, 22-152 cm).
Comprising: naval timepiece in watertight casing with substantial pierced lugs for attachment, manufactured by Franz Happe, Kiel and with issue no. M4923 on the dial; two printed cloth ensigns with halyard and D-ring clip, each with Nordic cross in black on a white field, a black-edged disc in the centre with Prussian splayed and crowned eagle, and black-white-red tricolor in the canton with an Iron Cross, blue anchor below and to the reverse manufacturer's label 'J. Haller / Fahnen Manufactur / Stettin N. Konigsstr. 5'; canvas sleeve with inked notation 'German ensign from "UB120" 24-Nov-1918'. [4, No Reserve]

SM U-120 was a Type UE II long-range minelayer submarine of the Imperial German Navy. She was built at Hamburg, Germany, by Aktiengesellschaft Vulcan and launched on 20 June 1918. She was commissioned in the Imperial German Navy on 31 August 1918 with Kapitänleutnant Hans von Mellenthin in command. She was surrendered to Italy on 22 November 1918.
