Frankish Silver-Gilt Radiate-Headed Brooch

LATE 5TH-6TH CENTURY A.D.

2 1/2 in. (13.3 grams, 64 mm).

Featuring a D-shaped headplate and knop finial, chip-carved detailing, deep bow and lozengiform footplate with beast-head finial; catch to the reverse and remains of ferrous pin. [No Reserve]
