A copy of 19th century medallion by Justin Mathieu showing a dynamic religious scene of St Louis bearing the crown of thorns to the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris surrounded by soldiers, ecclesiastics, and bystanders; mounted in a wooden frame. [No Reserve]

From the family collection of a Hampstead gentleman; formerly acquired in the 1980s.
