Framed Scarlet Ibis in Flight on Linen
MID 20TH CENTURY A.D.
17 1/2 x 12 1/2 in. (1.1 kg, 44.5 x 32 cm).
Three scarlet ibis about to land on a tree top, sometimes called red ibis Eudocimus ruber, they are a species of ibis in the bird family Threskiornithidae which inhabits tropical South America; printed on linen with 'Sb' monogram to lower middle; mounted in a glazed wooden frame. [No Reserve]
