Durham mint; i.m: uncertain. Thomas Ruthall, bishop (1509-1523). First coinage. Sovereign type. [ҺЄN]RIC' ˣ DI' ˣ GRA ˣ RЄX [AGL Z], Henry enthroned facing, holding lis-tipped sceptre and globus cruciger; throne pillar on either side surmounted by lis / [CIVI]-TAS ˣˣ ˣˣ DVR-ҺAᙏ, quartered shield-of-arms on long cross fourchée; T D flanking. Cf. North 1777; cf. SCBC 2332. Good Fine.(0.63gr, 15mm,10h.).
