England. Tudor, Henry VIII AR Halfgroat. Struck 1514-1526. York mint; i.m: star(?)/escallop. Thomas Wolsey, archbishop. First coinage.

(Star[?]) ҺЄNRIC VIII 'ˣ DI GRA RЄX AG Z, crowned bust right with features of Henry VII / (Escallop) CIVI-TAS ˣˣ ˣ ЄBO-RACI, coat-of-arms over long cross fourchée, keys and tasseled gallero below at base of cross. North 1770; SCBC 2326. Good Fine. Slightly double struck. Extremely rare, if star as initial mark on the obverse.(1.36gr, 20mm, 5h.).
