England. Norman, William I 'the Conqueror' AR Penny. Struck circa 1068-1070. Uncertain mint; uncertain moneyer. Bonnet type (BMC ii).

[✠ PILLEMV]S [REX], crowned facing bust / ✠ GOL[...] ON COLEC(?), voided cross, with annulet at centre, pile in each quarter, and pellet-between-crescents at each end. North 842; SCBC 1251. Near Fine. Broken and repaired.(0.99gr, 20mm, 12h.).
